FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How much does shipping cost and how long does it take? We ship via USPS standard shipping. Your exact shipping cost is calculated at checkout based on your order and delivery address, and most US orders arrive within a few business days of dispatch. If you need your flies before a specific trip, chat with us and we'll do our best to help.

Where do you ship? We currently ship within the United States only.

What's your return and exchange policy? We accept returns or exchanges only for products that arrive damaged — please contact us as soon as your order arrives if there's a problem. Once a fly has been fished or used, we're unable to accept it back. See our Refund Policy page for full details, and if something arrived damaged or incorrect, use the chat option and we'll make it right.

How are your flies tied, and on what hooks? Every fly is hand-tied and inspected before it ships. We tie on a range of quality hook brands, with the hook chosen to suit each specific pattern.

What sizes do you offer? Available sizes are listed on each product page and vary by pattern. If you're not sure which size you need for a particular water or hatch, just ask — see the next question.

Can you help me choose the right flies? Yes - that's the whole point of a local shop. Tell us where and when you're fishing (use the chat) and we'll point you to the right patterns and sizes. Even better: every fly we sell comes with a tutorial on how to fish it on the water it's designed for, so you're never guessing.

Do your flies come with instructions? Yes. Each fly can include a tutorial covering how, where and when to fish it on its intended Eastern Sierra water depth, presentation and timing, so you can fish it with confidence right out of the box.

What flies should I start with for Crowley Lake? Crowley is a midge game most of the year. A solid starter set: assorted buzzers and epoxy buzzers fished 12–20 ft under an indicator. Each fly's tutorial walks you through the specifics for Crowley.

What works on Hot Creek? Hot Creek is technical - small flies, light tippet, careful drifts. Stock small RS2-style emergers, midges and small mayfly patterns, and check each fly's tutorial for presentation tips.

What are the best nymphs for the Owens River? Pheasant tails, zebra midges and small caddis patterns cover most of the Owens through the season. The tutorial included with each fly covers depth and timing for the Owens.

What about the East Walker? The East Walker rewards nymphing and streamers -pheasant tails, midges, stonefly nymphs and bugger-style streamers. Each fly's tutorial gives you the how and where.

Do you offer guided trips? We're a fly company, not a guide service - we sell flies only. But every fly comes with a tutorial for fishing it on its intended water, so you get local know-how with every order.
